The vision of Career Services is to empower students to thrive and serve in the kingdom of God.

MISSION

The mission of Career Services is to develop career relationships, resources, and opportunities with students, faculty, and professionals.

GOALS

Career Services will:

1. Support students through the career development process: making a career plan, professional skill development, and networking.

2. Support students to synthesize their professional skills to obtain experiential learning, employment, grad school, and other opportunities.

3. Cultivate a network of professionals to help students progress in their career readiness and to provide professional opportunities.

4. Collaborate with students and colleagues to improve placement opportunities, and return rates and reporting for the Asia Pacific area.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will:

1. Understand how to make an effective major and career plan.

2. Articulate their marketable knowledge, skills, and abilities in a professional resume.

3. Demonstrate their marketable knowledge, skills, and abilities in a practice interview.

4. Network with professionals to increase their understanding of career opportunities through employer events.

5. Synthesize professional skills to secure experiential learning, employment, grad school, or other opportunities.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

1. Provide student programming (workshops, appointments, online resources) which acheive the student learning outcomes.

2. Provide employer events to increase student career readiness and to provide career opportunities.

3. Cultivate an international network of professionals who engage with our students through informing, mentoring, interviewing, providing internships or employment.

4. Collaborate with students, colleagues, and other professionals to improve placement opportunities, return rates, and reporting for the Asia Pacific area.

5. Incorporate department values so as to maintain a high degree of satisfaction with students, colleagues, and other professionals.
