Mission Statement
The mission of the Information Systems Department is to prepare students for the exciting work in the fields of information systems and technology, with special emphasis on professional careers in their native countries. Information Systems faculty teach current information technology skills and information systems concepts for emerging industry, government, and community needs. By providing students with a wide variety of practical, hands-on experiences, in both individual and teamwork settings, problem-solving, business communication, and technical capabilities are developed and refined.
Outcomes
  1. (a) An ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
  2. (b) An ability to analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.

  8. (h) Recognition of the need for and an ability to engage in continuing professional development.
  9. (i) An ability to use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
  10. (j) An understanding of processes that support the delivery and management of information systems within a specific application environment. [IS]
